Pokemon Go Level Cap Reached as Player Hits Milestone

Shortcuts may have been used, but one player has reached the maximum level on Pokémon Go.

The max level a player can achieve on Pokémon Go, as of now, has officially been reached on Pokémon Go. After being revealed earlier thismonth that the level cap of the mobile game is 40, a poster on reddit, username _problemz, has seemingly hit the milestone.

If you were hoping to hit level 40 on Pokémon Go anytime soon by walking around and catching hundreds of Pidgey's, think again. To reach the level cap, you must obtain over 25 million experience points(!) The redditor did include the detail that he indeed did use a bot to level up.

Below you can see the type of Pokémon this user has in his arsenal.

While the rewards and unlocks supplied with level 40 can be seen in the first image, players were holding out hope that the max level would render the use of the epic Master Ball. Unfortunately, it seems as of yet that the godfather of all Poké balls is no where to be found even after reaching all the available levels.
