We've had discussions in the shoutbox about lucid dreaming, and what it is, so here's a thread to instruct you in inducing it and what it is!

Whilst you are lucid, in the transition between awake and dreaming, you will most likely encounter sleep paralysis, this is scary. If you feel uncomfortable have a trusted friend with you telling them to awake you in an hour.

As for how to induce it:

I was able to control everything in my dreams and wake up when ever I wanted when I was younger Happy
It was fun because when ever I had a scary dream I could just wake up and end the whole bad dream.
I never really figured out what happened to that ability to do that :(
Nice post though, I'll have to give this a go next time I get a chance.

Well, Mr. Paul, this is a very interesting topic. I am registered at another forum that focuses around this. It has great techniques, and I think that it is a fun thing to practice.

Lucid dreaming doesn't come to you in a single day... It takes months, sometimes years to perfect. You can't read a simple two paragraph manual and expect to lucidly dream that night.

I've had a few of these before but never actually tried to do it. There really fun cause I'm just laying on my bed, sleeping I guess, but I am still thinking and aware I am sleeping.

Now that I know what it is I can manipulate it
