*In this thread, im going to go over some facts about marijuana to hopefully better your knowledge on this topic*

A Little History:
Marijuana, also know as weed, pot, reefer, grass, dope, ganja, mary jane and hash, etc. is the drug most often used in this country. I'ts psychoactive chemical THC(Tetrahydrocannabinol), the little white crystals found on the bud, is what gives us the "high" feeling. It's a plant in which the leaves or bud's are smoked to give an intoxicating effect. A lot of people think that the banning of marijuana was through a scientific, governmental and medical hearing, but the truth is far from that. The first federal vote to prohibit marijuana was based on a documented lie on the floor of the senate. The most commons reason for the outlaw of marijuana involved racism, fear and murder. Believe it or not, the cannabis plant has been illegal for less that 1% of the time that it's been in use. That's like banning water. It's most known uses date back further than 7000 B.C. The actual hemp plant it self has a number of uses, such as : woven fabric, clothes, food, rope's, paper. In the 1600's, the government actually encouraged farmers to grow hemp. Hemp was such a critical crop for a number of purposes that the government went out of its way to encourage growth. The United States Census of 1850 counted 8,327 hemp “plantations” growing cannabis hemp for cloth, canvas and even the cordage used for baling cotton. Later on however, things changed and other factors came into play. Racism was part of the charge against marijuana, as newspapers in 1934 editorialized: “Marihuana influences Negroes to look at white people in the eye, step on white men’s shadows and look at a white woman twice.” The general public was being fed the most bogus lies. The government made it illegal just because of corporate greed - because hemp is a superior substitute to plastics and fuels. Making marijuana illegal meant that people could make a lot of money by selling synthetic goods that would have otherwise been made to a better quality with hemp. The man that ruined it all was Harry J. Anslinger. After two years of secret planning, Anslinger brought his plan to Congress — complete with a scrapbook full of sensational Hearst editorials, stories of ax murderers who had supposedly smoked marijuana, and racial slurs. From then on, the sad weedless era began.

Here are some quotes from Jerry J. Anslinger:

Types of Marijuana:
There are three types of marijuana : Sativa, Indica, and Hybrids.

Sativa:
You must login or register to view this content.
-The sativa high is often characterized as uplifting and energetic . The effects of a sativa marijuana are mostly cerebral. They give a feeling of optimism and well - being, as well as providing a good measure of pain relief for certain symptoms. A few pure sativas are also very high in THC content. They are known to have a quite spacey, or hallucinogenic, effect. Sativas are a good choice for daytime smoking. Some common Sativa stains include Jack Herer, Blueberry, Sour Diesel, or Haze.

Indica:

-The indica highs are most often described as a pleasant body buzz. Indicas are great for relaxation, stress relief, and for an overall sense of calm and serenity. Marijuana indicas are also very effective for overall body pain relief, and often used in the treatment of insomnia. They are the late - evening choice of many smokers as an all - night sleep aid. A few pure indica strains are very potent in THC, and will cause the "couchlock" effect, enabling the smoker to simply sit still and enjoy the experience of the smoke. Some common Indica strains are any types of Kush like Bubba Kush or Platinum Kush.

Hybrids:
-The name says it all. It's both sativa and indica mixed. Usually, there is either Hybrid Sativa-Dominant or Hybrid Indica-Dominant. None the less, the hybrids give you both a cerebral and body high.

High Grade Marijuana:
You must login or register to view this content.
-The real "dank" stuff is filled with THC crystals. It also has a lot of orange hairs. Good weed has a real distinct smell, you can really get a whiff of it. It's usually very fresh and dense or fluffy.

Low Grade Marijuana:
You must login or register to view this content.
-Usually very dry, looks horrible, as in the picture above. It's mostly dark and not attractive at all. It also has no smell, to me, the real "schwagg" weed smells like wood. Don't waste your time with this crap, the high doesn't even last long. Also, if you get seeds with your nug, it's straight up cheap shit, as above in the picture, you could spot some seeds. For it to be good, it's got to be sticky, smell good, alot of THC and no seeds.

Medical Marijuana Legalized States:
-Some states in America have medical marijuana, usually for patients with cancer and such to help with their therapy, but it's pretty easy to obtain a medical card your self. There are over 250+ illnesses that can be either treated or reduced with marijuana. I personally got my medical license by saying that i had "insomnia", a sleeping disorder. The 14 states that allow medical marijuana are: Alaska, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maine, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington.

No death's have been linked to long-term marijuana usage. If your interested in seeing more about this, PM me :y:*

Well what about Legal Substitutes? like K2. They get you higher than 80% of mary jane, and its undetectable in drug tests. Do a little research on that one. I personally like it a bit better than pot.

These facts are incorrect for 2 reasons.
1. You can't die from smoking, at all. You die because of the effects it has in your body, such as lung cancer. You can get lung cancer by inhaling too much smoke.

2. Your weed deaths are at 0 because they were excluded from the study, doesn't mean 0 people died from it directly or indirectly.

In my opinion , K2 is shit, i like weed because of the plant it self, uses for hemp and such, and the whole culture involved in it, the "high" is an extra. Smile
