(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Im just curious because i see the people asking for rep and people bragging about rep and i totally agree that the amount of help that is given by some of the members should be recognized by the community.

But i really disagree when some of the higher ranked members as to speak feel that they are somewhat higher in achievement have the right to flame threads of the lower ranks like they where never in that situation

me for example i achieved my -rep earlier via a conversation in the shoutbox where i was just expressing an opinion is this right?

By no means is this aimed at respected NGU members just my view on the small minority that feel the need to step on members that are trying!

Check my threads im not a massive contributer but im also not a leech

i hope this isn't closed as i believe this is an appropriate general discussion and would like to see other members views on this

Oh yeah I agree with you on that some people ask for -rep with there comments and threads than moan when it's dished out it is there for a reason and some members do deserve it

It is a number yes but it's purpose is to show recognition so it's not really intended for fun it's intended to keep members more active on the site by having a sense of achievement put into place dishing out -rep for no justified reason can give newer members the wrong impression and discourage them from being active and also contributing

I like rep, it means if someone is doing good or not.

Think about it as, if you get a new step dad, you both are going to show who's the "Dominant" one in the house.

Rep on NGU is pretty much the same. It shouldn't be like that, but it is what it is I guess.

yeah i know exactly how you feel in this situation as i have been stripped of rep for no reason. i tried contributing a lot and have only got discouraged for doing so check my threads and ull see what i mean.
i think this is a good topic just to show members that there are respectable members on this site.

its only the monioritys who ruin it .
