Post: Life plans

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Basically this thread is here for people to talk about not only their goals in life but how they plan on achieving them as well. It's easy to say "I'm going to get a job that makes good money and live a upper middle class life" but having a step by step plan to do it is what makes it happen. Sure you can be one of the "now"ers (someone who only lives for the "now" hence the name) and get lucky in the future, but personally I believe that with the right amount of determination and meticulous planning, any goal is achievable.

So what are your plans for the future? Can be short term (2-5 years) or long term (5> years), and if you believe that you can give advice to someone else in this thread because of your knowledge in a certain field, please don't restrain from giving that advice.

Training for the RAF. Right now I'm not sure when I'll be going in. If I get a job, it will be a few years. If I don't get a job soon, it will be in the later half of this year to give me time to get fit. Depending what I do in the RAF will depend on what I do after. I want to go into the Regiment which is the fighting force, protecting bases that contain RAF personnel and equipment and protecting helicopter when they're out of the base, as in sit in them in case it goes down so you can protect it and the crew. I think they capture bases too, but I'm not entirely sure on that. Anyway, it's like a security force, so civilian jobs would be like Policing, security guard, body guard perhaps.

In the Regiment you can apply for the SAS, obviously providing you're tough enough.Obviously you get more training for more jobs. You can also go into 2 squadron which uses Parachutes and go into civilian life as a parachute instructor. You'll learn quite a bit in the RAF, even if you went for a normal job in an office you still have skills to take with you such as teamwork and communication skills.

After my upcoming GCSE exams I'm going to go to college to study sciences and then on to university to do medicine. My aspiration is to become a physician or a surgeon. It's very competitive though; I have to get very high grades to get there.

My plans for after high school is to attend a college (hopefully not a state college) and major in criminal justice; i hope to become a K9 officer. Currently, the schools im looking at are Curry, Utica, and a few others. During college and maybe after college i hope to be able to obtain and live in an apartment so i can have pets and more freedom within my home. I have been considering for quite a while up until recently becoming a veterinarian but i dont like the length of schooling required and i realized i didn't like the medical aspects of being a vet and as i grew older i realized that what i was after was just the interaction with animals.

So yeah that's what i hope to be doing in my future :fa:

I was considering K9 though I am more into computers. I want to go into law enforcement and work somewhere with computers. Where I live, they are not hiring officers so this is my chance to go and spend 4-6 years in college getting a master degree in criminal justice and computers, might do computer science and possibly dive into computer forensics.

Eventually, I do wish to go into the FBI. Smile

Yea I know about that. You have to remember, every job has thousands of people applying, my chances of getting a job through that is the same as any other job. :/

My point is that forensics is the most common part of criminal justice :p
