Post: Life plans

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Basically this thread is here for people to talk about not only their goals in life but how they plan on achieving them as well. It's easy to say "I'm going to get a job that makes good money and live a upper middle class life" but having a step by step plan to do it is what makes it happen. Sure you can be one of the "now"ers (someone who only lives for the "now" hence the name) and get lucky in the future, but personally I believe that with the right amount of determination and meticulous planning, any goal is achievable.

So what are your plans for the future? Can be short term (2-5 years) or long term (5> years), and if you believe that you can give advice to someone else in this thread because of your knowledge in a certain field, please don't restrain from giving that advice.

Yep, but that's why I will be specializing in computers with criminal justice. This will set me apart for in case I do go into the FBI I could work in their cyber/computer field.

We've had a few FBI agents come to our class and one explained that what they have are people who essentially only deal with computer, they are handed a computer from a suspect and extract all the information they can.

You are thinking of normal forensics where as I would like to also specialize in this. --> You must login or register to view this content.

Basically, I want to the be that geeky ass person in law enforcement who deals with computers, hopefully the FBI.

I hope to excel in a web development, and possibly even be a journalist as well Smile

I love writing, but programming is also a small passion of mine. Hopefully I can figure my life
out soon, because I only have 4 years in college :p I want to enjoy it.

I graduated in 2010, had high ambitions on becoming some sort of engineer. Well now its been two years, and that has changed drastically. I'm committed to business, work part-time at a credit union as a teller and I'm in progress to transfer to UCSB in about a year. My short term goals are to get a Macbook for school in the next few days or week, finish my classes strong with good grades to help me transfer and focus on what classes to take next. Some long term goals in life for me, is to find a long-term stable career that pays well, and build a family.

I guess some advice that would help a lot of you, is to figure out who you are, what you want to do and where you want to be in life. I wish I took high school more seriously, and now I'm missing out on college fun. In college you meet awesome, down-to earth people and it will change your life forever.

I plan to learn c++ coding and find a small little job in computers during high school. I'm also working my ass off to become good at the saxophone and get scholarships based on that and academics (32+ on ACT) I will then go to school under computer software development and graduate after 4+ years and find a good job.
