Nope. It connects to my computer like a camera. No error message pops up

Maybe you could try and do a hard reboot on your iphone , you press the home and power button at the same time for about 20ish seconds. I'm not sure if this will work. Or you can put you iphone into DFU mode then plug it into Itunes. Here is how to put your iphone into DFU Mode.

1. Turn the phone off
2. Hold the home button
3. Then plug it into your computer while your pressing the home button. (Press them at the same time)
4. Then from there Itunes should do the rest from there
5. Then you can restore it to factory settings

I hope I helped = ]

If you can't even get it to the point where you get the option to restore, try this.

Go to:
Settings > General > Passcode lock > Erase data (on)
When you've done that, type in the wrong password 10 times so it restores to factory settings.

If all else fails, apple's "Geniuses" are surprisingly helpful..
