2) Next remove the updated version of Installous from your device.

3) Following that add the previous version of Installous you just downloaded ("installous.deb") SSH into either the tmp folder in the root directory (main screen you arrive at when you ssh into your device.

You can also add the file to an alternate location as well, located in the var/mobile folder.

For people who have trouble establishing a link via SSH to their device, I have found sometimes it helps to open two different programs and attempt to establish a link with two programs at once. For example open CyberDuck and attempt to connect. While it searches for link, open another program such as a Fugu and attempt to connect to the device with this program as well.

4) Once the "intallous.deb" file is added open up iFile app (available on cydia) and locate the file in the location you added it to and install.
