(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I've got a really big problem with my iTouch second gen, it isn't an MC model....

I jailbroke my iPod Touch with JailBreakMe.com, after a couple of days, my iPod kept on coming up with an error message which put it into Safe Mode. I put the USB in, went into iTunes, then did Shift + Restore, went to the custom restore ipsw, and it came up with an error message saying something like it couldn't be installed. (This is with the version 3.0.1). I tried to restore it normally, but it didn't work. So on the iTouch, I went into System Settings > General > Restore Settings > EVERYTHING (formatted). It reset (looked promising), then it just froze on the apple boot logo. It won't change from that, if I hold the lock and home button, it will restart it, but will freeze on the apple boot logo. If it runs out of battery and try to charge it, it does the same. I was wondering if there's anything I can do to make it back to normal (not jailbroken) WITHOUT taking it apart.

PS - I can't send it back to Apple because it was JAILBROKEN - against Apple terms. (sides, I think it's outside of it's warrenty anyways).

ANY help will be appreciated,
~Josh

I assume no one knows the answer? If not, is my iPod touch ****ed? Or is it possible to fix it without breaking it...

put it on DFU mode and then try restoring with the firmware or whatever.

DFU mode fixes things like that search that up on google.

If you're under warranty, you can get it fixed. It re-formatted so the Jailbreak is no longer on there. This happened to me to, but apple still fixed it. I just said that I restored it because it froze and they took it for 2-3 days and then gave it back to me fixed :y:

It's not under warranty anymore, I've had it for about 2 years. And, you know when you turn it on? The apple boot logo comes up then has like lines through it? It just stays as that, then restarts then comes back up, I've tried draining the battery, then connecting it to the PC, it does **** all. Thanks,

Ok try this. Turn it completely off. Make sure you have itunes running and the ipod pug in the computer, but leave your ipod unplugged no hold down the home button as you plug in your ipod and try restoring it.

I had the same problem as you. Do you remember the last thing you downloaded from Cydia? If you do, go delete it.
