(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys,

I have an iPhone 2G.

over the summer i went to plug it in before i went to bed to charge it.

When i awoke the next morning and went to unplug it, It had for some reason turned off. I tried to turn it on but i havnt managed to be able to get it to turn on. Though when i plug it in the back gets a little warm and the longer its plugged in the warmer it gets. (like its charging.)
When i try to turn it on the screen stays black, i don't get the Red Charge thing or an Apple Logo. iTunes doesnt see my iPhone when i plug it into my computer.

My iPhone 2G was unlocked because i didnt have a data plan from AT&T at the time.

I wouldn't even bother asking you guys for help right now but, my Motorola Backflip decided to break lol. So i need a good phone.

Any ideas or something to fix this problem?

Methods Tried:
- Hold Power and Home button for 10 Seconds

hmm try this, connect your ipod to your computer, when its finished syncing have the ipod go to dfu mode, then press restore on itunes. Hope this works for you

I had the same problem, and I tried making it go into DFU mode(Quote me if you don't know how) after I connected it. If it was working well before it got this way then im pretty sure it's not broken, then if it connects to iTunes then just try the restore.

(sorry if i'm just repeating what you have in methods tried, i'm just trying to help)

Climbing up the ladder
un-plug it from computer, hold home button ( just that button) while holding it plug it in, it should have the connect to itunes logo
