You cant jailbreak 4.2 yet unless you wanna plug yoir iphone to computer to turn it on everytime. Im waiting for the one you can turn on your iphone without pluggingninto computer.

We have to wait for an untethered jailbreak for 4.2.1, or you can try to downgrade your iPhone/iPod/iPad to 4.1 or whatever.

but if u want to downgrade u have to were jailbroken before u updated to 4.2.1 and to save your SSH files, if u didn´t u can´t do the jailbreak atm.

it is possible, my cousin done it, on his ipod 2g.

Wrong, he could have older generation of ipods or iphone and they would be untethered, I think it's ipod touch 2gen and 3de gen and iphone 3G and 3GS oldbootram

It's recommended that you don't jailbreak your iphone 4 4.2.1
unless you want to be plugging it in the computer in the time to on it.

You make it sound like his iphone is going to break. I have it and can't see why it's so bad, i meen you charge it every night anyways

untethered is only possible if you have a Mac so far i think.. and even if u have a mac i wouldn't do it because apparently it's extremely buggy and its still only in beta.
