(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); hey guys i have an ipod 4th gen and im trying to downgrade it. i went into c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts and i added
74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com
then i went to itunes and pressed shift then restore and chose 4.1 upgrade (its actually how to downgrade). then it says that its restoring but on my ipod screen it shows the usb plug and the itunes symbol indicating i need to plug it in when its plugged in. then i leave it and i get error 3194. i tried adding #74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com but that didnt help. plz help.

Trolling is a art
Just download the firmware you are trying to download it with, then Ctrl Click restore and select that firmware. No need to block Apple. Atleast, not since I jailbroke mine....

i did that. i got error 3194

you can nolonger downgrade from 4.2.1 without the 4.2b3 SHSH file

i have the SHSH blops but idk where they saved. is it a folder called .shsh? i used tinyumbrella

Did you look at my tut? Because it never says locate where your SHSH blobs are saved. But if you ment "how do I see wich SHSH blobs I have saved?" You have to start Cydia and look at the top in the homepage and there it will say "SHSH and then what iOS version you have saved" Smile
