Also: you can do this without a jailbroken iPod or iPhone but you cannot go to the root, you can only see certain files.

Step 1: Open up Cydia or Rock, click search, type in "Open SSH" [Without quotes] and download it.

Step 2: Get on your computer and download iPhone Explorer. [Link at bottom]

Step 3: Turn on your iPod or iPhone and plug it into your computer.

Step 4: Open up iTunes if not already open.

Step 5: Open up iPhone Explorer and Wallah, there you have it!

Note:I do not know if Step 1 is necessary, as my little brother took my iPod to his guitar lesson. I will update as soon as i get it back!

iPhone explorer is a FTP server. Online FTP server. /facepalm

No, you don't have to connnect to the interwebs

You have to connect to download it. /facepalm

But then everytime after yo don't have to create new connection, go on you iPod, find the ip, enter it in, then connect. also you can save it on your computer. It's simpler thats why i posted it

I don't see this any way simpler. Its a FTP server....

All you have to do is plug your ipod in and then you have it, also you don't need a jailbroken iPod for all of it, just the root directory!
