It said i had an apple mobile device serivce was off and so i looked on youtube and they said to put it into dfu mode. That didn't work! It only made it worse because now it doesnt even restart! PLEASE HELP /facepalm

same thing happened to me today. Im on Iphone 3gs 4.2.1 redsn0w. when I connect it to the pc it says that the device is malcfunctioning.

Try reinstalling the official update by putting your iPod into recovery mode!

its not about my ipod its the laptop because i can use it on other computers

I cant because the pc does not even detect my device...

heyy reinstall iTunes 10.1 or whatever it is

i think ive done that like 20 times. I uninstalled everything made by apple
