reset it via itunes

hold the home button and at the same time connect the ipod to your computer. Your ipod should show the connect to itunes symbol and then i tunes will automatically open. Try it :y:

connect to your comp via usb back up the essentials then restore it and there might be something on it i.e a jailbreak making it funny

when it's on hold power for 3 secs then as soon as 3 secs are up hold power and home button for 10 secs then release power while holding home button then you should be in DFU MODE then while in DFU MODE do a restore with itunes i had same problem with my iphone 4 if you get error from itunes goto add or remove programs and remove and reinstall and try this process again should work
