I recently updated my jailbreak to greenpois0n's rc5, and tried to change the carrier name. as a result, it corrupted my itouch 4g, and the carrier name only says "device". it has also deleted the "contacts" and one other stock app, and i had to restore and re-jailbreak.

I had this happen to me on RC6 but i just left it as device everything else works just fine but i cant change it from saying device

Carrier name is only for Carrier... Example;
AT&T > BOB
