Don't use greenpois0n... Downgrade to a different iOS, then use a completely different jailbreak to greenpois0n...

This is why...

Greenpois0n has been caused to do:
-Brick your iDevice temp/perma
-Make your iDevice not function properly
-Make it crash on bootup/shutdown
-Makes your iDevice crash/glitch up big time for unknown reasons.

Best idea is to use sn0wbreeze to make your CFW, then use iReb 2.0 to put your iDevice into a custom-DFU mode where it can install most iOS/CFWs.

Remember tho.. Only people who have there shsh blobs can downgrade... Unless they have an iPod 1st gen, 2nd gen, iPhone 2g, or iPhone 3G... These can downgrade freely... But all of them are being discontinued for iOS at 4.2.1 if they weren't discontinued at 3.1.3

Yeah, but if you downgrade to the original iOS (which came with the iDevice), it'll let you downgrade to the original iOS... Then that will let you upgrade (by pressing shift + restore) to almost any iOS/CFW.
