(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); May 7, 2009 - We iPhone users love pir little smartphone. From the apps, decent connectivity, and loads more features, there really isn't any major deterrent keeping most people from picking one up, other than, of course, the fat data plan bill. However, one group of analysts think that a drop in contract pricing could be just around the corner, fueled by Apple's need to move a considerable amount of units to correspond with the launch of a number of new smartphones from competitors.

According to Cote Collaborative, AT&T is mulling the idea of a price cut for iPhone users, news that may be announced during the WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) next month in June. The rumor is that the entry-level data package, which currently runs at $69 a month, may get a $10 discount to help spike overall sales. If true, this means that those that sign a two-year contract will be looking at a total savings of $240.

Neither AT&T nor Apple have commented on the rumor, but regardless, we should know one way or another within a month. Would a basic $10 monthly savings sway you into the iPhone crowd? Share your comments below.
