This is one of my favorite and coolest apps I have seen. It is called remoter. It lets you access your computer from anywhere as long as your computer is on. It works through wifi. It will work on mac, pc and linux, and is fairly easy to set up, but i will give you a step-by-step instruction guide on how to set it up. There is a video for PC.
Thz,
If you need more help ask me:p
Instructions:
* First, download app from the app store.
* Open the app
* Scroll to left and hit " Add A New Session"
* From there It should pick up your computer from wifi.
* If not hit manual set-up
* Sever type should be VNC
* The name can be anything, (ex: Macbookpro)
* VNC Hostname should be your ip address. If your ip adress changes you will need to change it on the app too, or else it will not work.
* VNC Port should be 5900
* VNC Username dont worry about it.
* VNC Password simply use any password
* Hit advanced (top left corner)
* Go to mac address and type in the mac address for your airport utility. For pc go to run and type in ipconfg. In mac go to system prefersnces> network> Airport> advanced > it should say airport id: xxxxxxxxxxxx
* Hit save in the top right corner.
Now move to your computer. FOR MAC
* Go to system preferences
* Go to the sharing folder
* Select screen sharing and remote login.
* It will ask for the password you entered in the app before. Type that in where it asks you to.
