So Much Win.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); This should be used as a last resort, restoring will erase all of your data

*Must have iPod plugged into computer while doing this*

Be patient, the force restore part may take up to 20 seconds.

1. Press and hold the home button and the sleep/wake button. (the power off option will appear, ignore it)

You must login or register to view this content.

2. When the apple logo appears let go of the sleep/wake button (keep holding the home button.)
You must login or register to view this content.

3. After a few seconds you should see the connect to iTunes image (you can now let go of the home button.)
You must login or register to view this content.

4. Open iTunes .
You must login or register to view this content.

5. iTunes should automatically recognize your iPod once the image comes up, if not unplug your iPod and plug it back in.

6. Restore your iPod by clicking the "Restore" button.

DONE

****If iTunes comes up with an error you may want to see the following link****You must login or register to view this content.

OK so firstly its called DFU mode and you don't necessarily need it plugged in to your pc/mac for it to work
Also there is a way to restore without losing all your data anyone that needs to do this just pm me.

NOT trying to flame, Just thought id correct a few simple mistakes apart from that. helpful thread +Rep

This thread has been posted SO MANY damn times! It's like the General News area for the Japan earthquake...

Does anyone actually read the little suggestion-posts which pop up when typing in the name of the post/topics?

OK so firstly getting an iDevice into DFU/Restore Mode is VERY similar. I tried this twice, once got me into restore mode, the other onto DFU mode.

Plus the only way you won't lose all your data is if it's backed up, or if you SSH'd all your files over to your computer, which is a stupid idea to start with.

Not trying to flame, just thought I'd correct a few simple mistakes.

U mad? :carling:
