2. Download your corresponding firmware for your device:

Important If you use an unlock DO NOT update Ultrasn0w does not work with 4.3.1 Redsn0w

3. Open Redsn0w

4. it will ask for a firmware, click browse, then click the firmware you downloaded.

5. Click Next, it should then patch kernal, etc.

6. After this you should get a bunch of options you should be able to tic.
Click what you want on what device you are on
Always Click
Install Cydia
****DO NOT **** Click Boot Tethered or enter DFU Mode ****

7. Click Next
You will have to put your device into DFU Mode here, it will give you on screen instructions to do this.

the top button is the Power Button
Bottom is Home Button
This is common sense but just so you guys know what button its telling you to press.



****If you hold the buttons through the whole process it usually goes smoother****


After you do this your device should be installing things, after this it will reboot.

Once on the home screen you should now see the app Cydia.

How to see if you are untethered:
1.open Cydia, if it crashes you are tethered.

2. Open Cydia after it loads, turn off your device and turn it back on, click Cydia again, if it crashes again you are untethered.

I heard apple are bringing out 4.3.2 because of the issues with 4.3.1 .. So I'm sticking with 4.2.1 with greenpois0n for now

Edit: Doesn't seem to work for me. I do the exact same thing as the guy in the video. (Checked just to make sure.)

Is it supposed to come up as a camera device on Windows 7?

Yeah, I suppose my computer just decided to classify it as a camera. Once I installed iTunes, it recognized it as an iPod.
