This tutorial will show you how to change your apple products mac address this is good for use on routers with mac address filters.

You will need!


  • Jailbroken iDevice
  • Mobile Terminal new version 520-1 You must login or register to view this content.
  • iDevice firmware to restore your device
  • (optional) Your backup to restore your music and apps
  • (optional) Computers mac address so you can pass the filters go to command prompt and type ipconfig/all and it will be next to physical address

Tutorial!

  1. Open Mobile Terminal and type "su"
  2. You will then be asked for the root password which is "alpine"
  3. You will now have Root rights on the terminal
  4. Type "nvram wifiaddr=XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX". X'es are the MAC address you want to imitate
  5. Plug you iDevice into iTunes in DFU mode
  6. restore iDevice and then go to settings - general - about and check wi-fi address it should be the same as the mac address you imitated
