What you NEESad Awesome
-Jailbroken iPod touch
-USB Utilities Pack
-CCProxy
-OpenSSH (Search on Cydia)

What you DO:

-Make sure OpenSSH is turned ON
-Turn on your Wi-Fi
-USB Cable

SETUP & INSTRUCTIONS

1. Install CCProxy

2. Run CCProxy, Click Options, click Advanced near OK, Networks Tab

UNTICK Disable External Users > OK

3. Don't close but minimize it. It should be on the tray icon.


4. Now Copy the "Lockdown Folder" from

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Apple\

and paste into

C:\Documents and Settings\Your-Username\Application Data\Apple Computer\


5. Plug your iPod to your computer with the USB. Make sure SSH is turned ON


6. Open USB Utilities folder and run "1_start_ssh_tunnel.cmd". LEAVE IT OPEN

Note: If a Windows Firewall dialog pops up, click on "Unblock"

7.Now run proxy_tunnel.cmd

It may also ask you a question, just press "y" and then enter and it will countinue. (Same as above, don't close the window!)

It will ask you a password (Default: alpine)




8. With the two black windows still opened, on your iPod touch

Open Settings.app and turn on your Wi-Fi. Find the network you want to use and click the little arrow to go to the Options.

Scroll down and under HTTP Proxy select Manual

127.0.0.1 as the server
808 as the port.


Leave Authentication: OFF

9. Wait until you have full Wi-Fi bars, you should now have internet!!

Thanks for posting it, haven't seen this before. Will come in handy as I rarely have access to a router.

On a side note, the link you provided for the "USB Utilities Pack" via Mediafire is down, the file has been removed.

thanks for this its exactly what i need because i need to use an ethernet cable and coulndt access internet on my iPhone now i can Happy +repped and nominated post

In step 8, you somehow connect to a WIFI network? Where does this come from, seeing as the tutorial tries to get internet without the use of WIFI?
