Hi,
I've got rid of my iPod Touch 2G and I'm now considering an iPhone. But more to the point this is how you get rid of stuck pixels. I've had two annoying ones in the middle of the screen but I figured out steps to remove them for good.
Method 1 - Physical Fixing
Get your iPod Touch
Turn off the screen.
Apply moisture to a tightly woven cloth (so not to scratch the screen).
Using a single finger behind the cloth, apply pressure to the area where the stuck pixel lies.
While still applying pressure turn the screen back on.
Remove the pressure and the stuck pixel should be gone.
Method 2 - Software Restore and Hard Reset
Get iPod Touch
Plug into computer and restore via iTunes
After resync, hold power and home buttons for 10 or so seconds.
Ignore the Slide to power off and wait for iPod to reset.
Method 3 - Brightness
Get iPod
Turn Brightness up a few times. Completely down, completely up, finally turn autobrightness on and off and then put it back to your desired settings.
Call Apple
Self-Explanatory.
These are a few methods I also used on my friends iPod Touches and so far I removed almost every stuck pixel.
