Try to turn it on and press the lock screen button and power button at the same time for 10 second, The iPod will start again if the screen don't work try restore the iPhone if that don't work go to your local Apple Store and buy a new one.

Just restore the iDevice ! If you can't see the option to restore download the last firmware for your iDevice and put you iDevice in DFU mode for iTunes can recognize it and you be able to restore it !

How to put you iDevice in DFU mode:
Step One
Open iTunes and connect the iPhone to your Mac.

Press and hold the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time.

After exactly 10 seconds release the Sleep/Wake button. Continue holding the home button until you iTunes pops up a message telling you that it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode.

i would try to reset the device by holding down the home button, and lock button at the same time. BUT! Held still even after the bar comes across the top of the screen to power off; more over, hold those two buttons until the screen goes completely black.

I have tried this and it comes up as error 1611 every time I've tried recovery and dfu mode

If DFU and restore didnt work try going to an apple store and see what they say because ur iPod is screwed. Ist it jailbroken?? Because if because that can kill your chances at getting it repaired at an apple store :/

If the iPod is Jailbreak they have to change or repair it. Jailbreak is legal now in the U.S. The only way you can't give it to an apple store is if you have Installous because is illegal.

wow thats weird, what you should do is call apple and see if you can send it into the service department

I have jailbroken it yes but its kind of an old ipod so its not under warranty anymore so idk what to do
