Jailbreak app developer Apocolipse has submitted a new app called RecognizeMe that brings biometric facial recognition security to iPhone.
RecognizeMe makes use of iPhone 4’s front facing camera to allow users to unlock their iPhone using facial recognition technology for enhanced security.

Recognize will be available on Cydia for $6.99. It has been submitted to Cydia and should be available shortly.
It's pretty amazing to see developers brings such security features to the iPhone but we wonder if iPhone users are paranoid enough to buy an app that brings security features such as facial recognition technology to their phone.
Soo.... What do you guys think??? I think it would be good to have facial recognition in our iDevices for extra security
It would be awsome if they make the app for the 3gs and iPads even if we had to use the rear camera.

if you read the quote from the creator he says that this vould be an alternate option to unlock not a replacement of the lockscreen. But yeah it may fail if you have something different in your face but thats why it is optional since you will have the lockscreen pass at the same time :p
