not if you just jailbreak it they fixed the battery issue with a new release RC 16 although if you install certain JB apps like backgrounder or tether your iDevice via MyWi or PDAnet then yeah it will drain the battery alot faster but the good reasons to jailbreak out weight the bad ones by a ton

not necessarily it just depends on what JB mods you run and what version of the JB you used. I say just stick with what you've got

that will happen no matter what version your on, playing games drains the battery like a bitch, the only definite way of playing for an extended time is to plug the iDevice in while playing

Well right now my iPhone 3Gs has 74% charge and it has
6hr on Wi-Fi
3hr on 3G
7hr Video Playback
3hr Youtube Playback
22hr Audio Playback
11hr Bluetooth Audio Playback
3hr 2D Gameplay
1hr 3D Gameplay
1hr Recording Video
2hr Taking Photo's
1hr GPS Navigation
7hr Kindle Reader
1hr Recharge Time
222hr Standby

I advise downloading either "Battery Doctor Pro" or "Battery Doctor Free" to find all this out for your device
