(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I have an iPod 2G and I forgot my passcode. I tried about 15 times and then it now says, "Ipod is disabled; Connect to iTunes". I cannot remember my version number(Firmware) so I am unable to use redsn0w, install OpenSSH and delete that Key file. Anyone know how I can fix this? I do not want to restore because I have important files in my iPod and the computer that was used to sync stuff to it is gone. Anyone know how I can see the FW without looking in Settings>About or Using Itunes? Thanks in advance.

Try to use iFunBox, just connect your iPod to your computer and launch the application, you can SSH into your ipod. See if that works

The best way to find your firmware version is with You must login or register to view this content.. It's a program made by Apple to get all of the stats on your iDevice.
