Most of you are probably aware that you need your SHSH files backed up in order to downgrade to a firmware once Apple has stopped signing it. The most popular way to backup your SHSH files is through a computer program called You must login or register to view this content.. The problem is that most people either can’t get it to back up their SHSH files, or they don’t want to figure out how to actually work it even tho it’s extremely easy.

Thankfully there is a simple solution that lets you backup your SHSH files right on the device itself!

All you have to do is open up Cydia, the search for iSHSHit, download it, open it, select the current firmware and hit save, it’s that simple! Keep in mind that in order to use the SHSH files you obtain through iSHSHit, you must use a program that can trick iTunes into thinking it’s accessing Apple’s server, such as TinyUmbrella (this is different than the process used to backup your SHSH files and it is essential)!
