Okay, I have had my iPod Touch, jailbroken with Spirit since Spirit was released. This means I have a 3.1.3 iPod. (32gb 3rd gen) I would like to upgrade to a relatively newer FW. What would be the least painful update I could do? I would still like to Jailbreak as well, so keep that in mind. Thanks in advance.

I think you can't update to what ever firmware you want, the only firmware that Apple is signing is 4.3.5. 4.3.5 is only jailbrokeble with pwngetool and the jailbreak is tethered.

I think you should wait untill iOS 5, there will be a untethered then, after 1 month or so

you could update to 4.3.3 and use jailbreakme to jailbreak it

Okay, then I'll probably just wait until an untethered 4.3.5. If it doesn't come around before apple stops signing it, I'll probably wait til OS5, thanks guys.
