i heard that the untethered will mess up your iphone if it drains out of battery not sure if it is true

Tethered is the one that messes up the phone when it is turned off. You have to be at a computer to turn it back on again with full functionality, untethered is 100% okay.

May as well wait for the official release tomorrow.

Works for iPad 2 however the image for FaceTime, Photos and contacts are blank, but they are still usable.

I know a way to fix that because the same happen to me with my iPad. I have test this and confirm is working in iPad 2 I jailbreak my 4S but I use cmd.

If you have experience and know what to do in cmd with the commands I recommend jailbreaking it that way because you don't loss the image of the apps, is a lot more faster.

You obviously used cli to jailbreak yours. This program is easier and doesn't involve cmd. Just respring for the white icon.

It's ok now, I just reset the springboard and it was back to normal

This DOES work for the iPhone 4S on Firmware 5.0.1. Did it to mine. :y:
