(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); You must be jailbroken to do this and you must have a google voice account (they are free. Just make one really quick)
IF YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE RECEIVING go to the bottom

SSH into your device and go to System>Library>CoreServices>Springboard.app and inside springboard.app find the file

N72AP.plist – iPod touch 2G
N18AP.plist – iPod touch 3G
N81AP.plist – iPod touch 4G

and copy it to your desktop. It is highly recommended that you backup this file in case you mess something up. Open it and find the line that looks like
<key>capabilities</key>
<dict>

Under that line (all generations) add this:
<key>sms</key>
<true/>

Copy that file back over and reboot.

Open up Cydia and download "sms gv extension"

Respring and go to your settings and scroll down until you see "sms gv extension" and open it.

Enter your Google Voice account information and Enable Send and check license. Here you can also place in a signature. It will not be visible to you but it will to be whoever you text. Go into receive settings and turn the app on and local mail off. Leave everything else.

Text one of your friends from your messages app. It should go through fine. No more using RAM killing texting apps.

MOST sms tweaks from Cydia work but I found SMS+ causes problems inside my 4G. If you download that and nothing is wrong (such as photos. When I install SMS+ I cannot access my photos app or twitter) PLEASE let me know as it may be another tweak I have installed and I love its features.

If SMS+ doesn't work for you, download BiteSMS!

Have fun texting guys.

Having trouble receiving? Follow You must login or register to view this content. guide and set up Google Sync and turn on local mail in the app. You need to have PUSH for the Exchange mail enabled. You can turn off the notifications for mail once the push is enabled and the SMS will receive perfectly!

Instead of sms+ use bitesms, It works really good. You can reply in app and such. Very helpful
