You Will Need:
Computer
iTunes
5.0.1 SHSH Blobs (Picture Below If You Dont Know)
Tine Umbrella

Downloads:

You must login or register to view this content. (Download 5.0.1 For iTouch/iPhone/iPad)
You must login or register to view this content. (iTunes)

[ATTACH=CONFIG]16201[/ATTACH]

Step 1: Check If You Have Your 5.0.1 SHSH Blobs Saved If you Have Open TineUmbrella

Step 2: Plug Your iDevice in Click "Save SHSH" When its saved Click Start "TSS Server"

Step 3: Open iTunes And Click On Your Device and Then Click Shift+ Restore And Select 5.0.1 IPSW What You Downloaded

Step 4: Your iDevice Should Be Restoring To 5.0.1 If You Get A Error Open Tine Umbrella And Click Exit Recovery Mode

Step 5: Your iDevice Should Be Downgraded to 5.0.1

Step 6: Jailbreak Your 5.0.1 iDevice There Are Plenty Of Tuts On The IOS Modding

or you could just save the shsh blobs, use ifaith to make a signed IPSW with the blobs in it, then shift restore.

Both are the same :p But in both you can't use the backup of your iDevice so you will have to start using your iDevice like new.

yh but when u use ifaith it dosent downgrade the kernal

Why would you like to do that? iFaith create a custom IPSW so when you restore you will have Cydia and everything. Smile

Actually, it doesnt install cydia. Gotta re jailbreak for that.

yh i thought that thats why i didnt reply to him i swear it dosent update the kernal so it be harder to jailbreak coz a jailbreak has to patch the kernal and where apple 5.1 has updated the updated kernal where ifaith cant downgrade the kernal and the 5.0.1 jailbreak cant patch the 5.1 kernal
