Approximately 15 hours ago, pod2g (an iOS Security researcher famous for his role in jailbreaking) announced that he (and the Chronic Dev Team) now have all the exploits required for a new userland jailbreak (on iOS 5.1).
Hopefully, he only has the last few hurdles left to climb before a full public release for the new iPad 3. I0n1c also has a jailbreak for the iPad 3 however, he has said he will not be releasing his work to the public.

To be honest I hope he don't release it and he better wait for a new iOS with more features.

Tbh, I actually hope he releases this just so the iPad 3 users at least have a jailbreak. When a new iOS firmware comes out, im pretty sure the Chronic Dev Team will find more exploits if the previous one is patched!
