I'll accept any suggestion, except anything to do with bulk, waterproof etc., as this case will be for a minimalist, who wants a decent amount of protection.

a Bomb proof case would be pretty cool haha.

I have a 3gs and there are almost no cases around for it that look good and do protection from what i have searched.

But:
Easily accesable volume & silent switch buttons (many cases limit the use of these slightly by making them harder to get to)
docking stations can still be used, many cases make it so you have to remove the case in order to use a dock
Stylish, it needs to have something to it that will make it still look nice.
camera and flashlight access (pretty obvious)

That's 3 things I'd look for when buying a iPhone case

cheap scratch proof and drop proof and still looks sexy

A major problem I've had with my iPhone 4 cases is that they maybe last a few months and then they deteriorate rapidly to the point where the case looks terrible or no longer functions. I do not drop my phone; therefore, the cases are breaking from everyday wear and tear. I'd like a case that looks cool (Speck has some cool ones), protects the iPhone well (not to the same extent as an Otterbox), and lasts for the 1-2 years you use the phone.

I got my iphone in december and could not find a good case til about a month ago. I purchaced a outterbox defender series and it is the best!

I personally hate otterboxes and think they look disgusting. It takes away from the "sleek" look of the iphone. I want a case that is slim, but looks good. As long as it has decent drop protection, I'm fine. I've never dropped my iphone 4s in the time that I've had it.

A case that can hold the Iphone from breaking if it falls, and it have to get a good design.
