This isn't really a news post as such, I just wanted to inform the iOS Modders of NGU that LiveClock, a classic jailbreak tweak, has finally been updated for iOS 5.1.1.

What exactly does LiveClock do? It animates the icon of the stock Clock app to include a ticking second hand, and showing the actual time on the app icon.

The tweak also provides four extra WinterBoard themes: "the ability to hide the second hand, the ability to disable the tweak, a darker colored clock, and finally a darker colored clock with no seconds." However, the tweak itself does not require WinterBoard to work. These themes simply provide extra options to adjust the Clock app icon to your liking.

LiveClock is absolutely free, and can be downloaded by adding the following source to Cydia:

    https://rpetri.ch/repo/

Note that your device requires to be jailbroken.

Also available, for those willing to spend $1, is a tweak called Clockify. It adds even more functionality based around the idea of LiveClock. You can learn more about Clockify You must login or register to view this content..

Update lol. Installed it it makes my 4S go into safe mode not advisable im on 5.1.1 Although Clockify works nicely.

I'm sorry to hear that! I am about to try it out on my iPod Touch 4th Gen on 5.1.1, I will post the results

What exactly are the purposes of this app?
I don't want to download it and then crash my iPod with something I don't need/want :p

@ Vortex, it adds a moving clock to your home screen. In other words, it displays the actual time in the clock app icon. It's something nifty if you have a jailbroken device

Oh, okay. Doesn't seem too useful to me, so I'm not going to bother with it :p

Storm confirm it working on 5.1.1 but I can confirm you it is fully working on an iPhone 4S running 5.1.1 maybe the crash is caused by another tweak.

I'll install this on one of my jailbroken iPhone's =D
