Can’t trickshot me!
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I am making this thread because i seem to have had every problem in the book when i comes to having errors on my iphone and ipod touch and i was always tired of searching for hours trying to find a fix. This will have a lot of fixes for promblems all in one thread and im hoping this will become a sticky to help others and people that are new to using these devices. Feel free to leave a comment of a problem you had and were able to fix it if i dont list it and i will try to add it to the thread.

YOUR DEVICE IS STUCK IN RECOVERY MODE

This is a very common problem that can occure on accident and all you need to do is download redsn0w, run the application with your device plugged in and go to extras and select recovery fix. Now just follow the on screen instructions.

YOUR DEVICE IS IN RESPRING LOOP

This is usually caused by a cydia app/tweak you may have resently installed or updated that your device doesnt like. This can be fixed by SSHing into your device and removing that bad app/tweak.

YOUR DEVICE IS IN INFINITE BOOT LOOP

This is not to common but may happen once in a while. It is the same idea as respring loop. What you want to do first is hold down the home and power button and do a hard reboot. This means it will turn off and you keep holding till it turns back on, and as soon as the logo comes up hold down the volume up key and it should boot into safe mode where you can remove the bad cydia tweak/app. If that wont work then you will want to get your device into dfu mode either manually or by using redsn0w. Whichever one works for you. Once in dfu you should be able to SSH and get rid of the bad tweak/app

ITUNES WONT FIND YOUR DEVICE

Usually you can just plug it into another computer and let itunes find it then disconnect and reconnect to your regular computer. If that wont work then try this.
Open Start Menu >> Run and type services.msc and press ok [ this will open up services ]
Locate the service named Mobile Device Driver
Double click the service to open properties
In the "general" tab find the "startup type" drop-down arrow menu and make sure "automatic" is selected.
Also see the general tab to check the "service status". If it does not say "started" then click the start button to start the service and connect your phone again and click apply.

If the above procedure does not helped in your case, then try restarting the service

YOUR HOME BUTTON IS ACTING WEIRD

Odd enough as it is this happened and i found that if you lock your device and then repeatedly press the home and sleep button, like your taking a screenshot, (you will by the way) about 20 times it should fix the problem for a while. If it does it again then repeat the process. Just dont go crazy and break your device by jamming the buttons too hard.

APPS WILL CRASH AS SOON AS THEY ARE OPENED

You can often fix this by installing or reinstalling an app or two through itunes on your device. This will refresh the certificate.

YOU HAVE WHITE OR BLANK ICONS

This is completely ok. Your apps are not gone or broken. They just are lost in idevice land. A quick respring or install/update of an app directly on your device will do the trick to get it back.

YOUR IPHONE WILL NOT FIND YOUR CARRIER AND WONT GET 3G

As crazy as it seems all your should have to do is go into settings>general>network and turn your cellular data off and on a once or twice and that should fix it maybe along with a reboot.

IT IS STUCK AT A PLAIN WHITE SCREEN

This can happen if your dropped your device or just a software malfunction. Just hold down the power and sleep buttons till your device turns off then back on to do a hard reboot. Now it should be fine.

DEVICE GETS PUT INTO SAFE MODE AND WON'T GET OUT

Again this is another bad cydia app/tweak. Just go into cydia and delete a recent app or tweak you installed and respring to be all back to normal.

DEVICE IS ACTING ODD OR IS REALLY SLOW OR FROZEN IN ANY SITUATION

Easiest fix of them all. Just do a simple hard reboot by holding down the home and power buttons untill your device turns off then back on then off. Now just power it back on like you normally would.
