STUCK ON YOUR ACTIVATION SCREEN AND WANNA GO BACK TO IOS 6.1.3 or 6.1.4?
You must login or register to view this content.

This is for the people who are stuck on the activation screen on their iDevice for iOS7
1. Get into DFU Mode
NOTE: this is how I did it, I did this only cause my phone would just turn on by itself once I turned it off while it was plugged in to itunes. If you have your own way to get into, thats fine too.

Tutorial

  1. Turn off your iDevice and make sure its not pluged into itunes
  2. Once off hold the power button for 3 seconds
  3. Then hold both your home button and power button for 10 seconds
  4. After 10 seconds let go of your power button and plug in your iDevice into itunes, while still holding the home button
  5. keep holding your home button until you see a picture of a usb connecting to the itunes icon on your iDevice screen

You must login or register to view this content.
2.Make sure you have your ios latest firmware download..
If you don't here's a website of the firmwares:
You must login or register to view this content.

3. Now on your itunes screen you should see a pop saying "your are now in recovery mode" click ok now hold shift or alt/option on Restore
4. Choose your ios firmware downloaded from the website

Some people can not get into DFU mode, people who don't have their UDID saved will be semi-bricked till a better fix is found.

I'm sure those having trouble are doing it wrong.

entering DFU steps
1 Connect your device to the computer.

2 Hold both the top ( sleep/wake ) button and the bottom ( home ) button together till the screen goes black.

3 Once the screen goes black keep holding for another two seconds.

4 Let go of the top ( sleep/wake ) botton and keep holding the bottom ( home ) button till itunes see's it.

The phone should remain black when in DFU mode. if you see the iTunes logo and USB cord on the screen, Then you are NOT in DFU Mode.

My friend brought his phone down to mine and when you try to it does nothing, iTunes doesn't recognize it, also a guy I was talking to yesterday couldn't get it into DFU, I know how to do it so even when I try and it doesn't work then I know something wrong. Tbh it's their fault for not paying.

Before I start, my usergroup perms are a bit screwed up so I won't get a notification about you quoting me back so please post a VM notifying that you replied to my post...

I've been using iOS 7 for some a bit and I'm not completely done with it. I also got it legitimately as an iOS developer so my iPhone has developer options and my UDID is linked with my account. Now eventually I want to downgrade is it possible to do so?

I ask this because according to Apple any iDevice updated to an iOS beta cannot be restored to earlier versions of iOS. Registered development devices will be able to upgrade to to future beta releases and the final iOS software. Now obviously I understand the part about development devices, but are they saying you can't downgrade because of issue that may arise or because they just don't want devs to downgrade?

Thank in advanced for the reply.

If your ID is activated and your IOS version is still being signed (6.1.3/6.4) then you can downgrade just fine, its people who didn't pay who would have trouble doing so.
