iOS 8.1’s day has come & as of this morning has gone! This morning Apple stopped signing the firmware, making a downgrade to iOS 8.1 from 8.1.1 impossible, so if you are stuck on iOS 8.1.1 and wish to jailbreak you are now going to need to use the newly released TaiG jailbreak utility for iOS 8.0-8.1.1.
Thankfully, this will have few impacts on the jailbreak community seeing that the TaiG team just released a jailbreak utility capable of jail-breaking all iOS 8 compatible devices running iOS 8.0-8.1.1! The tool although only available for Windows OS at the moment has been vouched for and proven safe to use by famed iOS hacker and evad3rs team member MuscleNerd.
Since iOS 8.2 betas seems to patch the exploits used by TaiG for iOS 8.0-8.1.1 to obtain root access of the device and complete the jailbreak process, I highly recommend updating to iOS 8.1.1 and utilizing the TaiG utility while you still can! If you are one of those people that constantly updates to every new version of iOS to get the “bug fixes” and you also like having a jail-broken device I recommend using the TaiG utility while it’s still utilizable for iOS 8.1.1

What do you think about the timing of Apple’s signing window closure? iOS 8.1.1 has been available to the public now for a time, so do you think it was just a closure planned to happen today or do you think maybe Apple waited until they were presented with an iOS 8.1.1 jailbreak utility so that they could patch more exploits found in their systems by jailbreak developers?
