for anybody who is playing a back up of the game and has been banned from the servers check your file PS3PATH.BUP
(on the game disc/backup)
open it in hex editor and see what it says everyone has been flagged and banned dont go online yet its not safe using a backup


just made another new account deleted the file PS3PATH.BUP of my copy got online 5mins got got banned again checked my backup and the file PS3PATH.BUP was back ???
their are other files one the disc that generate the PS3PATH.BUP and it gets checked and then baned if your using a copy or a back up or a real game

/dev_usb000/GAMES/BLES01717-[Call of Duty Black Ops II]/PS3_GAME is what comes up in that file, so it could be that they're seeing it's being loaded from a USB and then that's how they hand down the ban? Who knows.

the clue is in the name of the file PS3PATH ??? like what path is the game being played from thats why it comes up USB then people can't connect to the servers??? its a ban ?

my theory which would be 99.9%
there are certain files which check were the game is being played from and create the file PS3PATH.BUP then that gets checked by treyarch and you get a ban
we just need to figure out which files are doing this??

my freind playing backup .. he doesnt gget banned ..

that file has nothing to do with psn..it is generated by multiman, so if there is a ban it is caused by something else

I've got friends playing the same game as me(duplex) and they haven't got banned yet while others have. I never attempted to play online on my main account but I did attempt on another account and I got banned within minutes. In the end it depends on how lucky you are and how unlucky you are.

i played on my acc 4 3 hours then got on my friends 2 try rank him up and within 30 seconds he got ban soo if ur not ban dont get on no ones else account just stay on ur

That its only for copys or people with original game get BAN because they are playing online before the launch day 13?
