Black Ops 2 - Best Weapons, Game Modes, and Tips

First off, I'd like to say that Black Ops 2 maps are generally smaller than usual. If you remember from BO and MW3, the maps would be medium to large. But with BO2, you have lots of Close Quarter Combat(CQC) going on, even in the big maps like Aftermath or Turbine. So for those who are using Assault Rifles(AR) and Light Machine Guns(LMG), I hope you're camping because you won't be getting a lot of kills while rushing.

Now that I've explained the idea of the maps and weapons, lets move on to the "best" weapons in Black Ops 2.

Weapons

There isn't one "best" weapon, and BO2 is fairly balanced in many ways.

Shock Charges

I'm pretty sure you hate these and find them cheap, yes and yes. But, if you know how to use them they act either like Claymores or Flashbangs.
Shock Charges help you out and indicate when someone comes near. If you're playing Search & Destroy, you can use them to block of doors to a bomb or if you killed the bomb carrier, you can place it around the bomb.

MSMC

MSMC is a great Sub Machine Gun(SMG) and has a great advantage towards most of the other guns because it's a SMG, powerful, and low recoil. It's one of the best SMG's in Black Ops 2. Range is pretty good and if you add Laser Sight with Fore Grip or some type of grip, you can hipfire as good as aiming down sight(ADS).

So as you can see, it helps a lot. Putting Fore Grip and Laser Sight together creates a weapon of choice. These same two attachments can be used for the PDW-57.

PDW-57

The PDW-57, also known as PDW, is a great SMG. I personally like this more than the MSMC because of it's clip size. 50 bullets per clip without Extended Mags. Little to no recoil, and good damage and accuracy. Adding Fore Grip and Laser Sight makes this gun very powerful, even with hip fire. MSMC, you'd need to reload after you kill one or two people, but with the PDW, you can kill up to 3 or 4 people without reloading. I have put a clip into 3 enemies and then had to reload. So this is a weapon of choice for me, and highly recommend this.

R870 MCS

The Remington shotgun is one powerful weapon. It's fairly accurate and takes one shot to kill someone if it's upper body, but two shots if it's anywhere else on the body. Two attachments that add extra power to this shotgun are Long Barrel and Laser Sight. Below are the stats for Long Barrel and Laser Sight. I use Remington when I'm in a small map or playing a game with lots of people in one area. No need to aim, just fire. Only disadvantage is the range so make sure to keep a secondary with you.

Black Hat

Black Hat is a "unknown" tactical equipment to many gamers. This 'tool' can be used to steal enemy Care Packages, take down air units, take teammate care packages. This also works if you have your care package outside of the map too. You can do lots of stuff with this, and can be used to piss people off too, so it can be some fun.

Game Modes

In Black Ops 2, game modes varies from what your goal is in that game. If you want to level up, you can play this game mode, and if you want to Quick Scope, you can play that game mode. I'll be focusing on game modes that will help you level up faster than others.

Hardpoint

Hardpoint is a new game mode in Black Ops 2. It's like headquarters from previous CoD Games, but respawning is always enabled. Hardpoint is very similar to "King of the Hill". Now the best part about Hardpoint is that there is no respawn delay, so you respawn instantly. Also, because everyone rushes to the hardpoint, it gives you that chance to get lots of kills at once. This game mode is probably the best game mode that helps you level up fast. Best part is that if you are holding the Hardpoint, you get more XP for kills, assists, and anything else than the regular default XP.

*TIP*
Camp inside the Hardpoint and just pick off enemies. You get extra XP for being in the Hardpoint and killing enemies.

Domination[/color]

Domination is a great mode because you can earn extra points for capturing and defending plants. Not much else to it, but it's a good and fairly long-lasting game mode.

Capture and defend as much as you can to gain some extra XP.

General Tips/Tricks

Scorestreaks

Killstreaks, also known as Scorestreaks, are based on how much score you get to earn a scorestreak/killstreak. This includes capturing flags, planting the bomb, getting kills and assists. But in Black Ops 2, this also includes having your teammates getting kills while your UAV or Counter-UAV is up, or having your Guardian suppress/kill enemies. So if you want to get a high killstreak, having UAV and/or Counter-UAV helps you rack up the score you need for your next scorestreak.
