Now this tutorial works for other games also which I will be posting but you just need to tweak em around. Anyway in this tutorial which I prefer you do not post anywhere else without asking me I will teach you how to lag switch while host in MW3. This works for PS3 and Xbox.

Description and Tips:

First off, you need to be host! So simply enough (this sometimes works and sometimes doesn't.)

Here is a video tutorial, basically you join and leave until you are not joining a game in session. You can tell when you are host because you are the first person to join the game and the match countdown should be at 13-15 seconds and if you push select everybody else will not be re spawned yet and there dog tags will be showing next to there name.



Before I even go ahead let me explain to you what happens when you initiate the lag. Basically you bridge your connection between your PS3 and your computer allowing your computer to limit your network activity for both devices. Once you turn the lag or limit on it limits both devices and the players that are connected to you still stay connected but the can barely move. You can only turn this lag on for about 6-7 seconds with the right settings. Otherwise, it switches host. With this lag on the player freeze's and they cannot kill you. But remember, it does not last long, but it is great for messing with people in search or even getting a MOAB!

What programs you need:

- Cain and Abel (Bridges your connection with PS3 and Computer)

- Netlimiter 2 or 3

The Tutorial:

You first must set up Cain, so open up the program and click this tab (The green one, second to the right): (Program might be considered virus because it is used to crack passwords also! But don't worry...it's not ha!)

Once that is clicked on (You only have to do this once) a prompt will pop up, just click OK.

Now click on the sniffer tab:

Once you do that click on the button I made you click on before and make sure it's pressed down, then click the nuke button to the right of it:

Something like this should pop up after scanning:

These are all the devices on your network. Your home network IP is 192.168.1.1 and your PS3 IP is obviously Sony Computer. In my case it is 192.168.1.38, your IP will not be this high.

Now click the ARP or Nuke tab at the bottom of the program while still in that screen:

Now you see this, you see the 2 boxes right? Click on the top one so the plus sign that is blue next to the nuke is colored in:

Now click on that blue plus and this should pop up:

Now just click on your home IP 192.168.1.1 and then in the other box click on your PS3 IP which we found earlier. Your PS3 has to be on for the IP's to be found. Now your IP should pop up in the list. Now all you need to do is click the Nuke Button and while you are in a game something like this should happen.

Now you are done with Cain, just let it be.

Now open up Netlimiter

Now you will see your computer name and a upload limit and a download limit, you can limit either or:

Now what you should do is join a game, with Cain running like it should the numbers (packets) should skyrocket when you are host:

Now take 3/4 of that number and add it here:

You must login or register to view this content. used the same picture for all of them, it's very simple.

All you need to do now is click the box and the lag starts.

Remember, 6-7 seconds only! They do freeze. See the video for more help or post below.

By the way, you cannot keep doing this constantly. You need to take breaks here and there otherwise it will migrate host. But you can still rape it, just do it let's say...5 times in a row then give it a 15 second break.

i am stuck on netlimiter it says my version is not good for the bit

You have to download the correct bit version for your computer, mine is 64 BIT. If you have a newer computer it is most likely 64 BIT otherwise 34 BIT.

o werd I got it haa! works good I guess just not good if you do it to long cus they freze and also what I noticed is they freeze like right away when you do it and they can't even shoot if you get it right but it takes a while to get host i must be doing it wrong but thanks :y: Ill just do it for when i get host

Basically just to get host just keep backing out of a game if it states on the top of the screen "attempting to join game".

I have also found out that if you keep it higher the lag is longer.

Why should you get a lag switcher, the game is lagging always for me

I have done every step over and over...but no ones IP's show up in game when i click the nuke? Instead i will get the connection interrupted screen if the nuke is pressed..and if i dont up click it then it will boot the whole lobby?

Don't have Netlimiter open when you set it up. It does not boot the lobby it will host migrate. Which Call of Duty are you trying this in?
