Although, i've not seen a thread about it at all and it's extremely useful for pretty much everyone wanting a decent emblem. If there is a thread, please delete this one, as I went back 5 pages to find one and found none. I've personally known about this method for a few weeks and have been using so I can confirm it works on PS3. Yes, to people who already know this is the screenshot method. This is strictly for people who don't know, as I have had a lot of friends asking me how. Now, to tut.


1. First, you need to find someone who has a emblem you would like to have. This can be from pretty much anywhere, friends, league teams, facebook and recent players.

2. Hover over barracks and find go to your friends and find the person you want to steal the emblem off. Go into their player channel. Get ready to start counting, as this is important when copying their emblem. This method is extremely dependent on your internet speed and how long the screenshots take to load up.

3. When you're ready scroll up or down to screenshots and immediately once you go into screenshots start counting. Once the screenshot shows up (not the picture, just the details and the treyarch logo) stop. Remember how long it takes to load up. Mine takes around 4-6 seconds depending. I have Australian internet and it's horrible.

4. Back out of their player channel and go into CodTV and back out. Go back to the person you were just on and go into their player channel.

5. Once into their player channel, remember this button combination. Try it a few times to get the hang of it, once you're use to it and your internet speed, you can do this every time. You will fail a lot at first getting the timing right.
PS3 - Square, circle, up, square square, down square.
Xbox - X, B, up, X, X, down, X

6. When ready, scroll to their emblems, not going over their screenshots in the process. Go to the emblem you want to have, this can be any emblem from any page.

7. Hover over your emblem, enter the first 3 buttons of your console specific combination and then count how many seconds it took to load the screenshot up and at the same time, entering the next two button combinations. Finally, once the times up (or just before) do the last 2 button combination as fast as possible.

8. If you've done it right, it should give you the option to save their emblem to your barracks. If it doesn't give you any option, then the screenshot didn't load up in time. If it says save screenshot, then you've done it too slow and the screenshot loaded up too fast. As I said, it's dependent on how fast the screenshot loads up. There's a moment when the screenshot just loads up where you can go down and save the emblem, it's an extremely short window that most people may miss if just waiting for it. Over time, and after a few tries you'll get the hang of it and be able to do it more and more often.

9. If you've managed to save their emblem, back out and go into the barracks > emblems. Find the emblem that you have just saved, it should say it was made by the person you you just stole it off.

10. Go into the emblem and change the color of one of the layers and change back. Save.

*NOTE* If you do not have a layer that is the in the emblem, your emblem will default to the level 55 stars emblem and the emblem you just saved will be deleted.

*NOTE* If you fail to do it, you will have to back out, go into CodTV, hover over barracks and do it over again. Once you go to the screenshots, the game immediately tries to load them and once they're loaded, it's EXTREMELY difficult if not, impossible to do.


It's quite difficult to explain in text. The screenshot loading up is one of the biggest you'll have trouble with as it varies with your internet speed. My own internet is relatively stable if nobody is using it so I can do it pretty much every time. Although if slower, it'll take longer loading up, and you'll have to do the 'X X' or 'Square square' combination slower. I have a pretty fast reaction speed and can see the window where you're suppose to go down to the emblems so it's easy for me. Hopefully these videos will explain it better than I have.

At first, I thought this would of been impossible because they don't have the screenshot/emblem combination like in friends. Checked, and it's the same. I tried and I can confirm it's working in CodTV also. Just stole the top ranked emblem after like 50 tries ^^

Same method as this. Just the timing was a bit off for me so I couldn't do it fast. Try and calculate the average time the screenshot loads up and balance out the 'square square' or 'X X' when loading up the screenshot to match the average and then go down.

It's hard to explain ugh, sorry. It's just something you learn as you do it. Soon enough you'll get the hang of it and know what I mean.

dont you have to be on barracks??? or just cod tv and press (Square, Cirlce, Up, square square,down square)

Not sure about that actually. Maybe you don't have to be on barracks after all. I can tell you it certainly worked for me. I just clicked CodTV in the main menu and went to community and trending, found a emblem, done the glitch.

I'm having a hard time understanding what it means and I need to know because everytime I try saving an emblem it defaults to the Lt. Colonel level 37(my level) leaf thing
