Yes, this will happen when you play from a backup or on custom firmware.

For now, yes. The reason i say that is because before the game came out, i downloaded the leaked version and played it on my custom firmware and i got this message. Then when 1.04 came out it let me play online and I've been fine since then. Not sure if the same thing will happen here though.

Nah, If u played online on 3.55 USing EBOOT FIX then u WILL GET BANNED even without any other "modded" gamefiles Its just an Account ban, So Your best Creating A new Acc And Moving on if u wanna keep playing bo2

The Message he was talking bout i got to but on my OFW this was Due to there Servers i had even contacted Activision bak then thinkin i was banned for no reason, if u see that message now ( specialy if kiked from game then see it ) then u are Banned its an automated ban which they dont look into ( from my understanding )

the thing was i didnt have a modded eboot i just went online with my cfw ps3 and now it says the servers are down on my cfw and my ofw

Yeah pretty much. When the game was leaked and everyone got it pre-release and shit they got banned for just being on the game with their custom firmware console while trying to play online. Luckily I decided not to go online however I did play campaign on my cfw ps3 signed in to psn.

I don't know how people can't understand this man. If you run black ops 2 on a cfw, no matter what you do, You will get banned. & Not only do you get banned on black ops 2, treyarch will notify Sony and give you a console ban! I'm currently banned on my cfw but i use the unban method.
