I definately think you need to get a certain amout of kills with limited weapons but no guns from the box. Here is the theory what if you need to use a pacific melee weapon so a Ballistic knife. So in early rounds use your knife rank up your points until you have enough to get Galvaknuckles. Using both of these is a great combo because Galvaknuckles is one hit kill until round 15. When you have enough points Pack a Punch your Ballistic knife and a Shotgun see if your ranks changes I'm pretty certain its something to do with knifes or shotguns.

I ALWAYS use galvaknuckles round 1-13(bank) and it changes nothing to my rank lol. I'm at 45k kills and still blue eyes.

So whats your theory then kill a load of zombies get to a high round with 0 downs because it doesn't work. I'm still blue eyes with skulls since the first week I started playing zombies. If you look at the ranks it has a knife and a skull and two shotguns its got to mean something.

i followed my theory this whole week. i was just skull rank before, now i'm knife with blue eyes. soooo....you can believe whatever theory you want, but when people are ranking up this way, i would just follow this way.
