So, as with any new map, I play solo to get a feel of the map and try to get to know the layout of it before I die. What I wasn't expecting was to get to round 27, Easter egg done, all doors unlocked, pack a punched weapons (including the acid gat, forget the name of it's pack a punched name, but good looking design,) and some good rape train locations.
The afterlife wasn't as good as I was hoping, just replacing quick revive and obviously used to open up other areas (wasn't really necessary,) but I guess they want to throw new ideas out and see what sticks.
When I went down around round 22, I got all my perks, but this time replaced deadshot with electric cherry, I assume because of the high rounds, it wasn't very effective. But I'm glad Deadshot is back in it, I found it really useful.
I was impressed by some of the new weapons, particularly the AK47, Meat Grinder (or glorified sex toy as one person in my lobby pointed out,) and the blunder gat.
After playing a public match, we found the hell's retriever, it covers alot of zombies, I also noticed you can "charge" it by holding down LB. A red ring will flash about you once, you can hold it down longer and a 2nd ring appears, didn't have any other rings afterwards (maybe there's more if you hold it even longer?) seems to be a good ammo saver.
And the boss zombies, I found with a pack a punched AK47 and Deadshot, you take off their helmet really easily then you'll easily headshot them straight after.
I dunno if there's a connection between nuketown and Alcatraz yet, since what you hear on the golden gate bridge, and hopefully there is a proper Easter egg to discover other than build the plane and "escape", even if you don't get achievment/trophey for it, I just wanna know what (if any), connection there is between current zombie storyline and this one.
Also good use of Johnny Cash, felt it really fitted in well with the theme and feel of the level, if anyone is on Xbox and wants to do some rounds, just msg me, gamer tag is the same name as my account here.
