Hiya folks, new member here, and new to the whole ps3 mod-world recently too
I recently fixed an old fat ps3 (busted laser) that luckily was still on 3.50 OFW after all this time

I updated that to 3.55 and then installed the latest Habib 4.60 CFW and so far I've spent the last few days ripping all my games to the internal hdd (I rip with multiman's menu and play with gamesonic singstar stealth version, mm doesn't work yet on habib4.60 but I like mm's copy interface anyway) I also figured out how to at least update the games to their latest versions to stop bugs etc.
Then I started wanting to get more creative and try some zombie mods for black ops 1 & 2, but I hit a snag when I realised there is no cobra or ccapi supported yet for any 4.60 CFW

I then started searching through all the other options out there that might work and with black ops 1, using "Gr3Zz v3" worked for awhile but just kept freezing my ps3

so I deleted the game via mm and re-installed it, then tried using "Black Ops 1.13 - BadChoicesZ Zombi Mods" from here:

Unfortunately, deleting the game via mm and re-installing black ops wasn't enough to get rid of Gr3Zz's mods and I somehow had BOTH running at the same time lol, I had to go into the file structure with mm and delete the other bles01031 main folder, I found 1 in the game folder and 1 somewhere else? I forget where it was now lol. Anyways, I reinstalled black ops 1 and updated it for the 3rd time with just the BadChoicesZ save and patch.ff files and was finally up and running
When I tried using splitscreen 2-player mode however, the 2-player has no mods

So, I'm thinking of trying 2-player over local network as I see it is possible to data transfer these mods to OFW, and I just fixed another ps3 today, this third one is a slim ps3 currently running 4.60 OFW. As far as I read it, the ps3's have to be on the same firmware level or spoofed to run the data transfer, so I'm all right there.
However I'm kinda confused about what exactly gets transferred? I see from youtube tutorials that programs like mm & gamesonic get transferred to the ofw machine too, but cannot be run and should probably be deleted asap. What about all my other games (about 250gb worth) that I've copied to run from my internal hdd? I assume these would remain like "hidden files" on the ofw as there is no file manager to access them, e.g 250gb of wasted data transfer time/taking space up on the ofw hdd? What about all the game updates I applied on the cfw ps3 too?
From what I can understand, accounts with dlc seem to need de/re-activation/re-downloading after the data transfer, but as both of these ps3's have never been online and thus have no dlc I shouldn't have to activate my account at all should I? Really lost here and if someone could point me in the right direction as to what kinda files actually get transferred and what doesn't would be muchly aprecciated before I try something without understanding what I'm getting into lol.
Thanks for your time reading that huge post lol, I'll bookmark this and check back in soon enough, I gotta sort some stuff out, I got family coming over and ps3's/spare parts everywhere, total wire death trap here
