i was playing online earlier
hardcore team deathmatch
prestige 8 level 26
after the match was over, it said,"downloading game settings"
it stayed there

i reset my ps3 and went to multiplayer
went to Play Online
it went to the "Downloading games settings
and it just stayed there
then after a few minutes, it will say,"ERROR could not recieve free content pack"

i reset my ps3 again and it happened again
now every time i start multiplayer, it does that

so FUQ call of duty 4!!!
unless someone can help me
or i find a solution

sorry, i'm kind of mad, spent a long time trying to get to prestige level 10 and now this.

reset your router. Wait. unplug internet cord to ps3, plug back in.

The same exact thing just happened to me! I'm still trying to figure it out.

Buy a new disk.

Iono I never heard of this that sucks.

That happened to me before but not repeatedly, just every once in awhile, and even when it did say that, it would let me play.
Basically a useless error on my side.

finally, it works
i just turned off my ps3 and my router
turned both back on, played cod waw(because i was still mad about cod4) then went to cod4 and it worked fine
