well i could never host untill i upgraded my modem to a linksys gateway wireless-n and got ADSL2+. now i host all the time. i hate it sometimes though because it can take a while for ppl to join u but the lagless game play makes up for it.

Could be your connection , but sometimes its just pure luck that you get to be host.

Ok you NEED ADSL+2 to host a game type which has more than 4 players per team.. S&, Domination, Etc.. because as you look for a match the servers compare your connection to everyone elses connection that is looking for the same type of match as you, at the same time.. So if you have better connection Call of Duty will let you host because you have the best connection.. also if you host you can STILL have lag.. its just not indicated in the connection box.. if you are sharing your connection with other computers at the same time you will have lag.. this lag is not lag as in.. you shoot someone and he doesnt die.. its physical lag.. you can see people glitching around everywhere.. and makes them virtually impossible to beat..
