i dont think so but it takes a really long time and you should probably just give up cause out of the 15 hundred times that ive tried it ive only gotten it to work once.

If ur codes dont hav the load xtd m main load it will freeze

yes there is.
I've done it several times with a success rate of 80-90% or so... you just gotta do it right.

Obviously, if you're going to bypass an update, you will first need to delete it.
This can be done in the XMB -> Game -> Game Data Utility.

To bypass game updates on the ps3

Materials required:
Resistance Fall of Man
(or another game that has a disc-swap glitch)

Instructions:
1. Insert Resistance Fall of Man
2. When in game, go to Start Menu -> Save and Quit
3. When it asks you if you really want to quit, eject Resistance and insert the game you wish to play (I play COD4 w-Hacks...)
4. Wait 10-15 seconds after inserting the disc, and then tell Resistance yes... save and quit.
-- The game you wanted to load without update should now run without prompting you to update.

baisically it tells you the same thing i told you originally,
but other people have reported different games work as well.
apparantly, Full Auto 2, and Formula 1 EU also have this exploitable glitch.
they require different methods though, so read the testimonial from FoneFreak, and ps3news (the one at the bottom)


I'm now having some problems with this glitch.
I can't figure out what the problem is though.

If none of the methods work, then give it a day or two. I've recently been having problems, so I just gave up for awhile and played with people on the 1.30 patch. I'll come back to it again some day. Just keep trying, you'll get it.
